Greenpower Formula Goblin EV
Springfield Gardens Community STEM Club has two GreenPower Formula Goblin electric cars. Both have been rented under a rental agreement generously subsidised by Greenstem Education.
About GreenSTEM Education and Greepower Australia
 Greenpower Australia is delivered by GreenSTEM Education, the official international licensee of Greenpower in Australia. Through this world-class STEM program, young people work in teams to design, build, race and refine single-seater electric vehicles while developing skills in engineering, problem solving, teamwork, leadership and communication.

Greenpower began in 1999 in the UK through Greenpower Education Trust, which now works with more than 700 teams and engages more than 11,000 young people each year. Goblin category
For students in Years 3–6
Goblin is the perfect entry point into Greenpower. Students build and race a purpose-designed electric kit car while developing confidence, teamwork, creativity and foundational STEM skills. It is an engaging and highly accessible way for younger students to experience engineering and motorsport in a safe, age-appropriate format. (Greenpower Australia)
Our Goblin Cars
BANANA BLASTER
We received our first Goblin in March 2026. We named it "Banana Blaster"! Banana Blaster was assembled as it had been used previously by another team, but we had less than two weeks to learn to drive and make the bodywork before the first race at the Devonport Motor Show at the end of March.
LEMONGHINI
We received our second Goblin as a unassembled kit in May at the start of term 2. The Goblin team chose the name LemonGhini and the body design was inspired by the inspired by the Lamborghini Huracan. We also were aware that we had funding from Tasmania Community Fund for a large format 3D printer and decided to design the body in Tinkercad and 3D print it. This is the first 3D printed Goblin body in Australia, and perhaps the world.
Ten days before the Sydney Heats Banana Blaster and LemonGhini were carefully packed in crates and sent to Sydney
Pymble Ladies College kindly received our crates. Here we prepare LemonGhini on arrival.
Our Goblins made a big impression at the track and pit area. Especially the first 3D printed Goblin body.
